Two Old Friends Move in Together

The coming months will see a lot of activity on the Ostfalia campus in Wolfenbüttel. Autumn 2010 marks the move of the Faculty Social Affairs from Braunschweig to Wolfenbüttel.

The faculty will then be at Am Exer, the second campus location in Wolfenbüttel, not far from the Salzdahlumer Straße, where the Head of the University and lots of Departments are situated.

Braunschweig and Wolfenbüttel have a long and joint history. After all the Fachhochschule Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel owes its existence in 1971 the fact that the Christian School for Women in Braunschweig aligned with the State Engineering Academy in Wolfenbüttel. The Fachhochschule Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel is now known as Ostfalia – University of Applied Sciences .
