The Faculty of Law - Brunswick European Law School (BELS) has joined the United Nations Global Compact (GC)

We proudly announce that on 27.11.2017 Brunswick European Law School was officially confirmed as participating member of the United Nations Global Compact. We are pleased to have been informed by the United Nations Global Compact that Brunswick European Law School (BELS) has since then been added to their register of participants: http://unglobalcompact.org/participant/124911.

Therefore, BELS has now joined the world's largest corporate responsibility initiative - with nearly 12,000 business and non-business participants in 140 countries.

As a United Nations Global Compact participant, Brunswick European Law School (BELS) commits to:

  • Support the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact with respect to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption;
  • Advance these principles within your sphere of influence, and make a clear statement of this commitment to your stakeholders and the general public;
  • Take part in the activities of the UN Global Compact; and
  • Communicate every two years with your stakeholders on your engagement in the Global Compact and your efforts to support the ten principles, and post this Communication on Engagement (COE) on the UN Global Compact website. Failure to post a COE every two years will result in loss of an "active" status in the UN Global Compact, and eventual removal from the initiative.

If you have any queries about this initiative or would like to support incorporating the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact at BELS please feel free to contact belsun@ostfalia.de
