Den Ausklang der EU-CARICOM Konferenz bildete der vom British High Commissioner Tim Stew und dem Deutschen Botschafter Holger Michael ausgerichtete gemeinsame Empfang in der auf einem Berghang mit Ausblick auf den Hafen und die Skyline von Port of Spain gelegenen Botschaft.

Die Veranstaltung bot eine gute Gelegenheit, um mit den Konferenzteilnehmern die behandelten Themen zu vertiefen und Kontakte zu knüpfen oder sich mit den ebenfalls anwesenden Botschaftern Holger Michael (Bundesrepublik Deutschland), Tim Stew (Großbritannien), Aad Biesebroek (EU), Jules Bijl (Niederlande), Carla Hogan Rufelds (Kanada), Javier Carbajosa (Spanien), der Direktorin der Zentralstelle für Finanztransaktionsuntersuchungen Susan Francois und dem Präsidenten des Karibischen Gerichtshofes Adrian Saunders über aktuelle politische und rechtliche Entwicklungen auszutauschen.

BELS-delegation attends the reception of British High Commissioner Tim Stew and German Ambassador Holger Michael, Port of Spain/ Trinidad and Tobago, 27th September 2018

The final event of the EU-CARICOM Conference was a wonderful joint reception at the residence of the High Commissioner of the UK located on a hillside overlooking the harbor and the skyline of Port of Spain with the Ambassador of Germany at Port of Spain for the participants of the Law Conference.

The event offered a good opportunity to deepen the topics discussed at the conference and to discuss further current political and legal developments not only with the participants of the conference but also with Ambassadors Holger Michael (Germany), Tim Stew (Great Britain), Aad Biesebroek (EU), Jules Bijl (Netherlands), Carla Hogan Rufelds (Canada), Javier Carbajosa (Spain), the Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit Susan Francois, and the President of the Caribbean Court of Justice Adrian Saunders.
