In the Northern Harz region last year, more than 20 companies from the chemical and metal sector signed up to form the ChemieNetzwerk Harz. The Faculty of Transport-Sports-Tourism-Media is a member of the network, through its focus on logistics. The ChemieNetzwerk Harz wants to establish itself as an innovation network and work on research-related topics in collaboration with the universities of the region. The network is financed by companies, the federal state and the district of Goslar, with a total funding volume of €500,000.
