At the Hannover Messe from 24 to 28 April 2017, Ostfalia presented the projects Cobots (Prof. Dr. Reinhard Gerndt) and wob-racing. A month later at Biotechnica, Dr. Hedda Sander presented a smartphone app capable of forecasting blue-green algae blooms in inland waters. For the first time ever, the Lower Saxony research day "flux" took place this year, on 6 May, at which Prof. Dr. Andreas Ligocki explained 3D printing to young and old alike. Most recently, Ostfalia was at the Ideenexpo: for eight days, from 10 to 18 June, the exhibits and experiments in the fields of science and technology enthused young people.
