Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences honoured its graduates at two festive events at the end of April 2026. Both the Faculty of Law in Wolfenbüttel and the Faculty of Transport, Sports, Tourism and Media at the Salzgitter campus bid farewell to their graduating classes in a festive setting.

The 21st graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Law/Brunswick European Law School (BELS) kicked off on Friday, 24 April 2026. More than 250 guests gathered in the university's auditorium to celebrate over 70 graduates who completed their degrees between March 2025 and February 2026. Dean Prof. Dr iur. Kai Litschen warmly congratulated the graduates and emphasised the further development of the faculty, including through planned new courses. Dean of Studies Prof. Dr iur. Udo Wolfgang Becker emphasised the importance of legal skills, even in economically challenging times.
Wolfenbüttel's mayor Ivica Lukanic also emphasised the relevance of legal regulations for society, administration and the economy. A personal review of the programme was given by Master's graduate Conrad Wegmann, who emphasised the skills acquired as an important basis for his future career.
In addition to the presentation of graduation certificates, special achievements were honoured: Several students received prizes for outstanding academic achievements, and Dr jur Jens Zitzewitz was also honoured with the silver medal of merit "Aequitas" for his many years of commitment to teaching and research. Musical accompaniment was provided by the duo "Perceived as One".

Just one day later, on Saturday 25 April 2026, the Faculty of Transport, Sports, Tourism and Media celebrated its graduates at the Salzgitter campus. In bright sunshine, over 160 of the almost 400 graduates received their Bachelor's and Master's certificates in person in the Audimax. The ceremony was accompanied by the live band "Brazzo Brazzone".
In his speech, Dean Prof. Dr Marc-Christian Ollrog praised the achievements of the year group and emphasised the importance of the degree for personal and professional development. A special focus was placed on the presentation of outstanding theses, which were presented in short elevator pitches.
A highlight of the event was the honouring of Chloé Andronis, who was recognised for her exceptional commitment to the faculty and student community. Her work, including on the General Student Committee, is an example of the importance of social commitment within the university community.
