The central welcome event for all new students will take place on 21 September 2026 at all Ostfalia campuses. In addition, each faculty and each campus will be organising further activities and events for first-year students.

On 19 September, the Faculty will welcome first-year students on the online degree programmes. The welcome event for new students on the on-campus degree programmes will take place on 21 September. You can find all the relevant information in the Faculty’s calendar of events.

Central Welcome Events for First-Year Students
All new students at the Wolfenbüttel Campus are invited to a welcome event in the auditorium on 21 September .
- 9.00 am to 10.00 am: We welcome students from the Faculties of
Electrical and Information Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Social Work - 10.00–11.00: We welcome students from the faculties of
Utility Engineering, Computer Science, Law - Until 1.00 pm: Activities zone in the cafeteria and the glass corridor.
Faculty of Electrical and Information Engineering
On 21 September at 1 pm, the faculty invites its new students to a welcome event in Lecture Theatre A. Further details can be found on thefaculty’s first-year student pages at .
Faculty of Computer Science
The first-year programme for on-campus degree programmes at the Faculty of Computer Science beginsat 2.00 pm on 21 September,
The programme for first-year students on online degree programmes has different dates:
12 September at 10.00 am, online, for the degree programmes

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

Faculty of Law
The welcome days for new Bachelor’s students at the Faculty of Law will take place on 15 and 16 September . On 17 September, it will be the turn of the new Master’s students.
Social Work
The orientation days for first-year students on the Bachelor’s programmes at the Faculty of Social Work run from 14 to 18 September.
The induction day for new Master’s students on the Preventive Social Work programme is on 15 September.
Faculty of Supply Engineering
On 17 September, the Faculty will welcome its new Bachelor’s students. On 7 October, a joint event organised by the Student Council and the Examination Board for the Bachelor’s programmes will take place for first-year students. Further details can be found in the overview on the Faculty’s website.
Wolfsburg Campus
Central First-Year Welcome
On 21 September, from 9.30 am to 10.15 am in the Audimax of Building D on Robert-Koch-Platz , new students at the Wolfsburg Campus are warmly welcomed to the central first-year welcome event. Check-in begins at 8.00 am at the Welcome Point in front of Building D.
Faculty of Automotive Engineering
On 12 September, the Facultywill welcome new students to the online degree programme in Automotive Engineering/Vehicle Systems Engineering. All other first-year welcome events will take place on 21 and 22 September.
Faculty of Health Sciences
The Faculty of Health Sciences’ onboarding programme begins on 21 September, immediately following the central first-year welcome event at the Wolfsburg campus.
Faculty of Economics
Following the central welcome event for new students on 21 September, the Faculty of Economics’ onboarding programme will also begin.
