The Faculty of Health and Health Care Sciences conducts applied research in the following four focus areas:

  • Health economics and health services research
  • Nursing and health services research
  • Human resources in the health and social economy
  • Education in the health and care professions and professionalization of the health professions

In addition, the Faculty of Health Care is represented in the research field " Participation and Care Research " of the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences.

Memeber of the Florence Network

The Faculty of Health and Health Care Sciences has been a member of the Florence Network, a network of European nursing and midwifery-related study programs, since 2016. A total of 46 European study programs from 21 countries are represented. The goals are to exchange ideas on topics of teaching and research in nursing and midwifery, to increase student and faculty mobility, and much more.
