Initiating new cooperation

Ostfalia encourages the creation of international networks that can be achieved by concluding new cooperation agreements. In the field of research, mutual projects can be developed, applied for and carried out jointly, workshops can be or consortia formed. International cooperation provides opportunities of mobility for students, academic and administrative staff. Mobility enables lecturers to orientate themselves better in teaching on internationally current content, questions and methods; it enables students to acquire international qualification and double degrees.

By concluding a cooperation agreement, refered to as an Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA), higher education institutions can define the specifics of their Erasmus mobility. Inter-Institutional Agreements are based on the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education which sets out the fundamental principles to which the institutions must adhere.
