Mobility in Europe

Mobility activities in Europe enable university members from Ostfalia to acquire key competences and motivate them to think in an innovative and internationally networked way. As shown in numerous studies, including the Erasmus+ Impact Study, extensively trained professionals are essential for guaranteeing Germany‘s competitiveness on the field of research, education and science. In addition, exchange programmes, internships abroad and other mobility activities enhanced mutual respect and trust as well as European sense of community.

The Ostfalia itself increases its attractiveness as an academic institution in international competition and as a cooperation partner through corresponding mobility activities and their resulting developments.

The EU education programme Erasmus+ not only supports student mobility (SMS) but also teaching staff mobility (STA) and staff mobility for training (STT). It intends to encourage the internationalisation and enable teachers and staff to acquire practical skills and develop personally, socially and professionally.
