Bachelor-

Energy and Building Services Engineering - Dual Progamm (EGTiP)

The dual study course is based on our degree program in Energy and Building Technology and combines vocational training and studies. Through the inserted practical phases during the study you receive a wide-ranging, practice-oriented education and a larger relation to the professional environment of the supply technology.

After completing the degree program, you will have two vocational qualifications:

  • A degree as an engineer (Bachelor of Engineering, B.Eng.)
  • a vocational qualification, e.g. as plant mechanic SHK or technical / system planner.

With this double qualification you have brilliant chances in the job market.

For the study in the practice group you put to your application documents still with us in advance requested Praktikumsvertrag with one of our practice partners. In principle, there is also the possibility of finding a suitable partner for your own practice. On request, we are also happy to contact new companies and inform you about the tasks as a practice partner.

The company training takes place in accordance with training regulations and framework plan of the respective training occupations Anlagenmechaniker / in the sanitary, heating and air conditioning engineering or Technical.

Structure & learning content

The course contents are divided into:

  • Mathematical and scientific fundamentals (for example mathematics, physics, chemistry)
  • Fundamentals of engineering science (for example construction, materials and engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechanics, electrical engineering)
  • Engineering applications I (for example applied thermodynamics, energy and refrigeration technology, measurement and control technology, urban water management, components of thermal plants)
  • Engineering applications II (for example sanitary, heating, air-conditioning and gas technology, building management, building automation, regenerative energy technology) with the optional elective areas:
    - Technical building equipment (specialization in sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology)
    - Energy and water supply (deepening in water supply, electrical energy supply and gas networks)
  • Project work on the subjects of gas, sanitary and electrical engineering as well as on the topics of heating and air-conditioning technology for the practice-oriented application of the teaching contents
  • Elective:
Digital control technology and open fieldbus systems or
    Energy technical equipment
  • Key qualifications (communication, law, economics, management)
  • Specialization project and bachelor thesis in the final semester

Almost all lectures are accompanied by labs so that you have the opportunity to put what you have learned into practice immediately.

Career prospects

  • Engineering and architecture offices, planning offices for technical building equipment or energy, sanitary and ventilation technology
  • Executing companies of technical building equipment, specialist site management
  • Private and municipal consulting firms and service providers, municipal and state building supervision authorities
  • Plant engineers and manufacturers of e.g. Boilers, heat pumps
  • Component and system manufacturers of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical engineering and control technology
  • utilities, energy service providers, property management and facility management

International orientation

Projects and bachelor thesis are also offered in English.
You may have the interesting opportunity to acquire a "double degree". Further information can be found in our section "International".
