Leadership and management in child day care - further training for (prospective) managers (copy 1)
The work in a daycare centre is varied, demanding and often characterised by the special challenges of everyday teaching. Our study days offer educational professionals in daycare centres the opportunity to further their education, gain new impetus for their day-to-day work and grow together as a team.
We attach particular importance to conveying practical content that can be implemented directly in everyday life. Our study days offer an inspiring mix of theoretical input, practical exercises and space for dialogue and reflection.

Module overview
Contents Generations in a team: understanding and utilising diversity ( Inhalte) Generations in the team: understanding and utilising diversity
In many teams today, up to four generations work together: the baby boomers, Generation X, Y and Z. Each of these generations has its own values, experiences, expectations and goals. Characterised by different lifestyles and social developments, they have their very own perspectives on the world of work.
Concepts such as loyalty, a sense of duty and respect are interpreted and emphasised differently by each generation. This diversity is an enrichment, but it can also lead to misunderstandings and conflicts.
This is precisely where our workshop comes in: How can we develop a better understanding of each other, respect the attitudes and perspectives of the "other" generations as equal and utilise diversity constructively?
Topics in focus
Understanding influences: How have social developments shaped the different generations?
Appreciating differences: Why diversity is a strength.
Rediscovering similarities: Finding common ground and creating synergies.
Getting to know the generations: Insight into the values and perspectives of Baby Boomers, Generation X, Y and Z.
Power of the team ( Inhalte) Conflicts and tensions are inevitable in any team where people work together. However, the key to successful collaboration is not to avoid these conflicts, but to find a constructive way of dealing with them.
A positive atmosphere in the team is crucial - it forms the basis for respectful cooperation and high-quality work. But how can a professional and harmonious working environment be achieved despite high workloads and stress? What can team members themselves do to achieve this? And what responsibility does the team leader have?
Our workshop supports teams in reflecting on the dynamics of their collaboration, adopting new perspectives and developing strategies for a good working atmosphere.
Topics in focus
Systems, roles and dynamics: How teams function and what characterises the way they work together.
Recognising similarities and differences: Understanding diversity as a strength.
Generations in transition: How the values of four generations influence the team.
Managing conflicts: ways to deal constructively with tensions.
Discovering strengths: Enduring and appreciating other perspectives.
Module 3: Role as an attitude - acting professionally ( Inhalte) Professionals who have intensive contact with people experience a challenging balancing act every day: how do you manage to be empathetic without losing your own boundaries? How can personal emotions be harmonised with professional demands in order to remain authentic, sincere and professional?
This challenge can be stressful - and this is precisely where it is worth taking a look at the world of actors. Their work is considered outstanding when they not only play their roles credibly, but also appear authentic. At the same time, they have to draw a clear line between their professional role and their private self in order to maintain their own balance.
Our workshop invites you to learn from the experiences and techniques of the art of acting in an entertaining way. It shows you how to deal with emotional dissonance and the demands of your professional role in a way that minimises stress and excessive demands.
Topics in focus
- The concept of the role: Developing a better understanding of your own professional role and its requirements.
- Recognising and overcoming role conflicts: How do they arise, and how can they be resolved?
- Emotions and their rules: The importance of emotions in a professional context.
- Surface and deep behaviour: Understanding and applying different levels of acting.
- Authenticity vs. coherence: Maintaining your own authenticity and acting professionally at the same time
- Professional closeness and distance: finding a healthy balance when dealing with others.
Communication and conflict management ( Inhalte) In our day-to-day work, we are often faced with challenging dialogue situations: Callers are demanding, complain or make accusations. Some callers overstep boundaries or demand a disproportionate amount of attention. Tensions can also arise within the team under stress, making it difficult to work harmoniously and respectfully.
This workshop will show you how to remain calm and react professionally even in stressful dialogue situations. With the help of proven communication models, practical examples and exercises, you will learn to adopt a new attitude that will enable you to master difficult conversations with empathy and confidence.

- Empathy as a foundation: Why appreciative communication starts with empathy.
- Maintaining composure: Practical strategies and methods for calm conversation: strengthening your inner attitude, recognising personal triggers and dealing with them consciously.
