Whether Ostfalia students are planning a semester abroad or international guests from our partner universities are coming to us: The ISO provides guidance and support throughout the entire process - from the initial considerations to successful implementation.
Areas of responsibility
Ostfalia Outgoing Students
As a competent point of contact, the ISO Ostfalia offers students support and advice on all questions relating to stays abroad, exchange programmes, international cooperation and study opportunities worldwide. The focus is on Ostfalia's partnerships within Europe, which run via the established ERASMUS+ programme, as well as on our global partnerships in North and South America and Asia.
International guests
International exchange students also find reliable support at the ISO: from the application process, entry formalities and legal residence issues to admission and the start of their studies, the ISO provides comprehensive support for all relevant issues right through to issuing transcripts at the end of their stay.
Financing
Funding from the Erasmus+ programme and the DAAD-PROMOS programme is obtained in order to facilitate stays abroad financially and to promote mobility in a targeted manner. International students can apply for degree scholarships provided by the DAAD as part of the STIBET programme.
Faculties
The ISO is also the point of contact for the faculties at Ostfalia. The ISO works closely with the faculties to support them in all matters relating to international cooperation and the implementation of exchange programmes for outgoing and incoming students. The close cooperation with the faculties is a central building block for the successful promotion of mobility and international cooperation at the university.
