Internationalisation Committee
The Internationalisation Working Group is a committee that supports the development and strategic implementation of Ostfalia's internationalisation concept. The group also promotes internationalisation measures, as well as dialogue and the exchange of experiences in this field with and among the faculties.

Who is part of the Internationalisation Working Group?
The Ostfalia Internationalisation Working Group consists of the Vice-President for Internationalisation and the internationalisation officers of the faculties.

How and why was this working group formed?
The working group was set up to support university staff in taking steps towards internationalisation, in collaboration with the International Relations Office and the International Students' Office. These measures aim to strengthen international research activities and promote the international mobility of teaching staff, personnel and students. These measures should help Ostfalia raise its profile in the international research arena, increase the competitiveness of its graduates in a globalised job market and strengthen the university's performance.
The first meeting of the Internationalisation Working Group took place in May 2005. In September 2005, the group presented an initial internationalisation concept for the Faculty of Economics to the committee. Subsequently, all internationalisation officers jointly developed a university-wide internationalisation concept, adopted in 2006. Almost every faculty now has its own internationalisation concept. These vary in age and, like the university's internationalisation concept, are regularly updated by the internationalisation officers.
What does the Internationalisation Working Group do?
In addition to developing internationalisation concepts further, the Internationalisation Working Group is responsible for deciding on proposed measures for the internationalisation of teaching, studies and research. To this end, the working group meets twice a year. Funds for the promotion are provided by the university.
What has the Internationalisation Working Group achieved so far?
The Internationalisation Working Group has organised many student trips, expanded Ostfalia's range of English-language courses, and enabled students to obtain double degrees. These efforts have enhanced teaching at Ostfalia, fostered relationships with partner universities, established and expanded research collaborations, and increased students' awareness of international contexts.

Internationalisation Strategy
Internationalisation is a key priority for the university.
The basis for this is the Internationalisation Strategy of Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, which was drawn up in 2006 by the Internationalisation Working Group, approved by the University Executive Board and adopted by the University Senate.
