Learning coaching and psychological counselling at the Faculty of Social Work
Your degree programme - your chance to grow!
A degree programme brings with it many exciting opportunities, but also challenges.
In addition to the specialised knowledge you acquire, it is also about personal development.
But how do you stay on top of things? How do you motivate yourself when things aren't going well? And how do you deal with crises?
This is where learning coaching comes into play:
Our aim is to provide you with personalised support to help you master your studies confidently and successfully and to help you develop personally in the process.
Open consultation hours
You are also welcome to use our open consultation hours!
Thursdays 11-12a.m. with Sarah Krüger, M.A. in room 23 at the faculty (or by phone: 05361 - 8922 23700)
This is independent of the lecture period (if it is cancelled, you will be informed here - it is best to inform yourself in advance).
Regular counselling appointments are available by appointment by e-mail or via our contact form, see below.

Process and framework conditions
Would you like to take advantage of learning coaching or counselling? This is how it works:
- Registration: You can register by e-mail, by phone or during open consultation hours. We are best contacted by email!
- Initial consultation: In the first meeting, we will discuss your concerns together. If it is not yet entirely clear what the issue is, we will first sort it out together and clarify which topics or contexts could be relevant. We then determine a (provisional) focus and develop a course of action.
- Further meetings: In the following meetings (several meetings are often useful), we develop strategies and solutions. You will learn to adopt new perspectives, plan small steps and try out new approaches. Between sessions, you can apply strategies in everyday life, which we then reflect on together.
- Conclusion: A learning coaching process with several meetings ends with a final meeting in which we summarise the progress made and conclude the process.

If necessary, we will be happy to inform you about other support services - from various counselling options and contact points to finding a place in therapy.
