Research Committee
The Research Committee is appointed by the Senate. It consists of representatives of professors, academic staff, technical and administrative staff, and students.
Ostfalia professors can submit the following types of application to the Commission:
- Teaching relief for publicly funded or own projects is possible (up to a maximum of eight semester hours per week per professor).
- Funding is available for the start-up financing of projects.
- Practical or research semesters with an interval of at least eight semesters.
The Research Commission also supports Ostfalia's strategic decisions in the field of research.
Application Procedure
All applications must be submitted by 1 May for the winter semester and by 1 November for the summer semester. The commission meets twice a year to discuss the applications and prepare recommendations for the Presidential Board. It is the Ostfalia Executive Board that makes the decisions on the submitted applications.
