Freshers' welcome
The first semester welcome for the winter semester 2025/2026 will take place on 22 September 2025 at 10 a.m. in the Audimax on the Wolfsburg campus.
Study circles
With tutoring groups, we want to help you to exchange ideas with other students and get off to a successful start in your studies. A study group is organised by students for students. Students in the higher semester of their degree programme take on the role of orientation tutors and supervise a group in the first semester in a team of two.
The study groups cover everything that cannot be found in the timetable. This includes planning your studies properly, understanding the examination regulations and getting support with finding accommodation. In addition, the tutors will introduce you to the addresses you can turn to if you have any problems or need support (e.g. learning coach, computer centre, etc.). You will also be given an overview of what else there is to discover on and around the campus, e.g. language courses, sports and cultural activities and much more. In addition to compulsory topics, there will also be time at each group meeting to discuss topics that are on your mind.
In a tutoring group, approx. 8 - 12 students are supervised by tutors from higher semesters. We will organise the groups for you.
The tutoring group is not in the timetable - when do the meetings take place?
We will arrange the first meeting date for you centrally. Together with your orientation tutors, you will then arrange the other dates and, if necessary, locations for the group.
First date for your tutoring group meeting:
Wednesday, 24.09.2025 11:30 am (compulsory attendance)
In the Bachelor's examination regulations, you will find the tutoring groups in the module "Methodological competence" (sub-module "Problem-solving competence", 1 CP). There will be no examinations in the individual groups. However, attendance is compulsory.
