Faculty Council
The Faculty Council is the highest decision-making body of a faculty. It plays a key role in shaping academic life in the faculty and makes the most important fundamental decisions. It sets the course for the study programme, the quality of research and teaching as well as the framework conditions within the faculty and decides on its regulations. It consists of 13 voting members: seven professors, two academic staff, two technical and/or administrative staff and two students. The tasks of the Faculty Council are
- Strategic and content-related orientation, such as the design of degree programmes, the establishment or amendment of examination and study regulations or the development of research and teaching
- Election of the Dean and the members of the Study Commission and Examination Board
- Fundamental decisions, such as focal points in research and teaching, appointments of new professors or the use of budget funds
- Initiating appointment procedures and appointing appointment committees for professorial positions

Study Commission
The Study Commission is the central body for the further development of teaching within a faculty, which deals in particular with the quality and further development of degree programmes. Together with teaching staff and students, it ensures that the degree programme remains innovative, practical and of high quality. It must be consulted before decisions are made by the Faculty Council in all matters relating to teaching, study programmes and examinations. The Dean of Studies chairs the Study Commission without voting rights. The results of the Study Commission's work are recorded in minutes and can be viewed in the Dean's Office if interested. The most important tasks are
- Advice and further development of the degree programmes
- Ensuring the quality of teaching
- Participation in regulations such as the creation and revision of study and examination regulations.
- Contact person for students, submission of suggestions and concerns from the student body

Audit Committee
The examination board is a central body at every faculty of a university that ensures compliance with examination regulations and is responsible for all matters relating to examinations. It is the number one point of contact for all legal, organisational or individual questions relating to examinations and ensures fairness and transparency in the examination process. The most important tasks are briefly summarised below:
- Organising and monitoring the organisation of examinations
- Decisions on examination matters such as applications for examination registration and deregistration, compensation for disadvantages, deadline extensions or the recognition of study and examination achievements from other universities
- Processing hardship cases
- Examination law complaints
- Determining examination dates and procedures

Student Council
The Electrical Engineering and Information Technology Student Representative Council (FaRa-E) is the elected representative body for all students in the faculty. It is your point of contact for questions, concerns and ideas relating to your studies. Feel free to drop by the regular meetings or speak to the members directly - they will be happy to support you! The most important tasks and services are briefly summarised below:
- Representation of student interests: for student concerns and issues vis-à-vis the faculty management, lecturers and other committees
- Advice and support with questions or problems relating to your studies, examinations, study organisation or module selection
- Organising events and activities such as Freshers' Week, excursions, barbecues, etc.
- Networking students from your degree programme or higher semesters
- Promoting communication between students and university staff
