Welcome to the 2026/27 winter semester
The library team would like to extend a warm welcome to all students, lecturers and staff as the new semester gets underway at Ostfalia.
Here in the library, you’ll find the specialist literature you need for your courses, in the form of printed books, journals and electronic resources such as e-books, e-journals and databases.
The library staff will be happy to support and advise you with your literature research during opening hours. Useful information for students: We offer extended lending periods whilst you are working on your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis or during your placement semester.
At all four Ostfalia campuses, you’ll also find printing, scanning and photocopying facilities, as well as plenty of quiet study spaces and group rooms.

Reduced opening hours from 13 July to 18 September 2026
The libraries at all four Ostfalia campuses will be open during the period from 13th July up to and including 18th September 2026, operating on the reduced opening hours accessible during the lecture-free period.
We look forward to seeing you and wish everyone a lovely summer!
Unavailable e-books from Rheinwerkverlag in the Ostfalia library catalogue
Unfortunately, problems have arisen with the automatic import of e-books from Rheinwerkverlag, meaning that more titles have been imported than are actually licensed for Ostfalia.
This means that the library catalogue currently lists Rheinwerk titles that are not licensed for Ostfalia and which, consequently, are correctly unavailable.
Data correction and the purchase of relevant titles are currently underway.
