University Council
The tasks of the University Council include advising the Presidential Board and Senate, commenting on development and business plans as well as on the establishment of or participation in companies. The University Council is also involved in the conclusion of target agreements and the election of members of the Presidential Board.
Composition
The University Council consists of seven members, at least three of whom should be women.
The members are
- five persons familiar with the university system, primarily from business, science or culture, who may not be members of the university and are appointed by the Ministry in agreement with the university senate,
- one member of the university elected by the university senate, and
- one representative of the ministry.
The members of the Presidential Board, the Equal Opportunities Officer, a representative of the student body and a member of the staff representatives take part in the meetings of the University Council in an advisory capacity. The President's personal advisor is responsible for the management of the University Council.
