First semester information

We offer a number of additional programmes to ensure the best possible start to your studies. We recommend attending our preliminary maths course before you start your studies. This starts two weeks before the start of lectures at Ostfalia. More information can be found further down on this page.

Registration for the maths pre-course (external link, opens in a new window) is from 09.07. - 03.09.2025.

The maths pre-course starts on Monday, 08.09.2025 at 8:30 am in room 252 (Am Exer 2)

The preparatory maths course serves to refresh school maths knowledge with a special focus on the knowledge required later in the degree course and is held in the rooms of the Faculty of Computer Science/IT in German language. This also gives everyone the opportunity to get to know some of our lecturers, the rooms and their first fellow students before you start your degree programme.

The first semester welcome by the Presidential Board will take place for all first semester students on 22 September 2025 from 10:00 - 12:00 in the Aula (Building A) at Salzdahlumer Str. 46/48.

The first semester welcome for the Bachelor's degree programme in Digital Technologies will take place on 22 September 2025 at 15:00 at GoTec, Am Stollen 19C in Goslar.
