Research

Health economics and health services research

In the "Health economics and health services research" research cluster, various current health economic and health care-related issues are analysed from the perspective of health policy, payers, service providers, patients and their relatives using qualitative and quantitative research methods. From this, recommendations for action to improve care and remuneration structures in the healthcare system and the quality of life of those affected are developed so that these can be implemented in everyday care.

Responsible actors in the research cluster "Health Economics and Health Services Research":

Nursing and health services research

In the research cluster "Nursing and Healthcare Research", interdisciplinary, mostly third-party funded research projects are carried out to investigate healthcare provision and its framework conditions (law, structures and processes) and the implementation and effectiveness of new care concepts, measures and interventions under everyday conditions. At the Faculty, this explicitly includes topics from health promotion, prevention, quality and digitalisation. Nursing and health services research at the Faculty of Public Health is characterised not only by a high degree of practical relevance, but also by the use of diverse research designs and methods in a mixed-method approach.
