First semester information

Welcoming the new students for the summer semester 2025

On Monday, 22 September 2025, we would like to welcome you to the Suderburg campus for the start of your studies. This expressly includes those who are in a higher semester or are starting their Master's degree programme with us. The event begins for you at 8.30 a.m. with your registration at the Welcome Desk in the canteen foyer of Building E. (external link, opens in a new window)

It will be a full and exciting day with lots of impressions and new people, which we will start with a cosy breakfast together in our canteen.

Useful information

Pre-courses

We recommend that all first-year students take part in the respective preliminary courses in the winter semester (September) in order to refresh or deepen their knowledge. Registration is required in advance.

Start of studies in the summer semester

If you are starting your studies in the summer semester (March), please contact our Dean of Studies in advance for an information meeting, as the programme starts in the second semester.

Living close to campus

Two halls of residence run by the Studierendenwerk Ost-Niedersachsen are directly adjacent to our campus. There is also a wide range of affordable accommodation for our students in Suderburg and the nearby Hanseatic town of Uelzen. The offer ranges from shared rooms to single rooms and flats.

Learning coaching and studying with neurodivergence

Learning at school and at university are different. You will therefore also get to know our learning coach in the first semester. If you have any uncertainties or questions, especially on topics such as compensation for disadvantages and studying with neurodivergence, please contact Yvonne Neuse before you start your studies.
