UNIcert®

Learning languages with a certificate - What is UNIcert®?

In 1992,the AKS (Arbeitskreis der Sprachenzentren an Hochschulen e.V. - Working Group of Language Centres at Universities) (external link, opens in a new window) adopted a framework agreement that contributes to greater convergence in the recognition of foreign language skills in higher education and promotes the equivalence of language training at universities and colleges.

The UNIcert® Commission of the AKS examines the training and examination regulations of universities and colleges that wish to label their language certificate with the registered trademark UNIcert® and accredits them if they comply with the UNIcert® framework regulations. Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences is one of the accredited institutions.
