Depending on your choice of study profile, the degree programme will open up new career prospects for you:
Vocational Education study profile:
You will develop the skills to take on responsibility in various pedagogical areas. You will be prepared to introduce trainees and students to their professional tasks in a practical way. You will also learn to recognise educational needs and to design, implement and evaluate appropriate programmes.
Management study profile:
The management skills you acquire in nursing and care-related contexts will enable you to effectively plan, design and review operational and care processes. In doing so, you will take the needs of patients, residents and clients into account.

For nursing professionals: Have you completed a three-year training programme in nursing? Then you can work as a practical instructor in the vocational education profile or work in further education and training. In the Management profile, you fulfil the requirements for an additional certificate as a care advisor or responsible care specialist.
For midwives: As a graduate in the vocational education profile, you can teach theoretical and practical courses in the midwifery degree programme or work as a practical instructor.
For curative education nurses: As a graduate in the vocational education profile, you can take on responsibility in further education and training or as a teacher for specialised practice.
For surgical and anaesthetic assistants: Depending on your study profile, you can work as a full-time teacher or in various management areas.

Vocational Education and Management in Nursing is a part-time Bachelor's degree programme in blended learning format.

Practical learning
In this part-time degree programme for nursing professionals, the focus is on practice-study-practice transfer. Practice-orientated teaching methods such as case studies, project work and simulations give you the opportunity to put theoretical concepts directly into practice. Our lecturers and professors not only contribute their extensive knowledge, but also valuable practical experience. They are well networked and know exactly what is needed in the care sector.
The Faculty of Healthcare works closely with numerous care facilities in the region so that you can benefit from a broad network. Our state-of-the-art simulation centre offers you the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a realistic environment.

Semester) Professional self-reflection: reflection on one's own nursing actions in the context of professional socialisation; introduction to socialisation theories; historical and current conditions in the context of professional nursing (training); nursing as a profession and professional nursing actions in the field of tension

Health and nursing sciences (1. Semester) Introduction to health sciences: basics of health sciences (historical development, definition of health and disease, theories and concepts of health and disease, health and disease models); basic terms, objects and concepts of health sciences (basics and differences in health promotion and prevention, basics of epidemiology, basics of social epidemiology, health and care reporting, salutogenesis, empowerment, ICF, health inequality, social situation, life situation model)
Introduction to nursing science: basics of nursing science (historical development in a national and international context, subject area and central questions); scientific theoretical foundations and significance for gaining knowledge; theories and models in nursing and nursing science; central terms and concepts of nursing science (e.g. need for care, need for care, nursing process, assessments); professional theoretical foundations; reference disciplines of nursing science
