Freshers' welcome Suderburg SoSo 2026

On Monday, 2 March 2026 , we would like to welcome you to the Suderburg campus for the start of your studies. This expressly includes those who are in a higher semester or are starting their Master's degree programme with us. The event starts for you at 8.30 a.m. with registration at the Welcome Desk in the canteen foyer of Building E (PDF, 34.51 KB) (opens in a new window), (not accessible).

It will be a full and exciting day with lots of impressions and new people, which we will start with a cosy breakfast together in our canteen.

You will receive your access data to the IT infrastructure on this day at the service desk of the computer centre

from 8:30 Onboarding | Mensa foyer, Building E

Your day starts with registration at the Welcome Desk in the Mensa foyer.

9:00 - approx. 10:00 a.m., Breakfast together | Mensa

You are cordially invited to join us for breakfast. You don't need to bring anything, everything is provided. Here you have the opportunity to get to know the other students on your degree programme. Look out for the coloured sticky dots.

10:00 - 10:30, Official welcome | H 007, Building H

Now it's getting official and a bit festive. You will be welcomed by the Ostfalia Presidential Board and the Deans of the Faculties of Construction, Water and Soil as well as Commerce and Social Work. After a few final words of welcome from other guests, we meet for a group photo in front of the entrance.

10:45 - 12:00 Introductory events

You will receive initial organisational information about the respective degree programme in the introductory events and get to know the other students on your degree programme.

12:00 - 13:00 Lunch break

The lunch break is the first opportunity for discussion and exchange in the cafeteria.

13:00, Presentation of contact points, services and student representatives | H 007, Building H

There are many service centres, contact points and opportunities for student participation, such as the dean's offices, learning coaching, the SSB, the career service, opportunities to study abroad, university sports, AStA, FaRa, committees and much more, which we would like to briefly introduce to you. Afterwards, the AStA will show you the most important places for student life on campus.

from 14:30, get-together and end of the day | "Kirche" (Building K)

Finish and get-together with the student representatives and some barbecue food. Maybe we'll continue together afterwards in the music cellar or the dormitory bar? It's up to you.

Compulsory IT introduction for all first-year students of the Faculty of Civil, Water and Landscape Engineering in room B 107, after which the regular events and lectures begin.
