Burning recycling centres are an increasingly common problem. A battery with a residual charge, a spark, and a few moments later a fire starts to spread. This is exactly where our guest today comes in: Lukas Bartenstein, co-founder of Warden Robotics (external link, opens in a new window), is developing systems for autonomous early fire detection that report the first signs and enable rapid extinguishing measures.
Together with Prof Dr Heinz-Dieter Quack, our guest talks about his start-up, his path to founding it and his entrepreneurial plans for the new year in the latest episode of "Einfach Forschung" . Our topic today: "From spark to company: The start-up for autonomous early fire detection".
Lukas Bartenstein studied engineering and computer science. He recently completed a Master's degree in Digital Technologies at Ostfalia in Wolfenbüttel. His projects there ultimately led him on the path to founding the company.
