InSZide Medien is the podcast of the Ostfalia Faculty of Transport, Sports, Tourism and Media. It offers authentic insights into the world of media. In each episode, the trio of presenters Maja Bahrke, Anna Brucks and Viktoria Heyer talk to people from the media sector - from students, researchers and lecturers to alumni and other media makers. The focus is on personal experiences, creative projects, exciting research topics and individual career paths. This creates inspiring perspectives on study, practice and career opportunities in the media sector.
Goal and idea
To mark the tenth anniversary of the Media Communication (B.A.) and Communication Management (M.A.) degree programmes in 2025, the idea was born to create a special format that would open up new perspectives on the media degree programmes and the diverse media activities at the faculty. The podcast offers space for in-depth discussions about teaching, research, projects and personal developments - directly from the Salzgitter campus.
The aim is to make the people behind the media visible or audible and to provide prospective students, students and external listeners with lively access to media topics from the university and practice.
Variety of topics
The content is based on current projects, research focuses, special personalities and developments within the faculty and the media industry. The in-depth discussion episodes are supplemented by compact "espresso episodes", which briefly present individual media degree programmes. Alternating moderators provide variety and different perspectives.
