After the successful resumption last year, many interested people took advantage of this year's Ostfalia Campus Day in Wolfenbüttel on Friday, 23 May to get to know the university. Starting in the afternoon, guests were able to discover various degree programmes, research projects and experiments at more than 65 stations. Many families with children took advantage of the campus rally organised by the Central Student Advisory Service; others simply drifted through the university's packed corridors. In addition to the AURONA research vehicle, they encountered Robbi the robot, which did squats or handstands on command, or the RoboCup football robot, which invited them to take part in a match. They were able to generate light on the energy bike, follow experiments on flood protection, find out how the Ostfalia research podcast is created or make their own yo-yo using 3D printing. Researchers reported on their current work on the production of sugar from residual waste, drive systems for electric vehicles and industrial wireless sensors, among other things.

Instead of a lecture, there was comedy with stand-up Braunschweig in the auditorium and Emma Naughton, Helge Elbeshausen and Robin Kap provided musical entertainment in the inner courtyard.

In keeping with the motto of the Campus Day "Research and Celebration", various Ostfalia members from teaching and administration staff played on the DJ booth from 8 pm.

The organising team gave positive feedback: "The corridors were full, the atmosphere was great - it was nice to see how many people were interested in our university. The Campus Day shows what is possible when all departments of Ostfalia work together," says Denise Rosenthal, Event Management Officer.
