Discussion rounds with scientists from the region
The ForschungRegion Braunschweig e.V. association and the city of Braunschweig invite you to the Salon der Wissenschaft at the TRAFO Hub on Wednesday, 3 June 2026 from 6:30 p.m., continuing the event for the fifth year - an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with researchers from the region.
Around 30 scientists from research institutions in the Braunschweig region will be available to answer questions in four 15-minute discussion rounds. What are they researching? What future do they dream of? At the free event, participants can have in-depth discussions with the researchers at individual tables. If you don't want to take part in the discussion yourself, you can simply follow a conversation via headphones and learn a lot of new things this way.
From biodiversity to digitalisation, health, climate protection and culture - there are no limits to the variety of topics that can be discussed in person.
Included from Ostfalia:
- Julius Look, research associate at the Centre for Hydrosystems and Health (CHH) with the topic: How do sewer detectives track down germs?
- Prof Dr Timo Schreiner, Professor of Child and Youth Welfare at the Faculty of Social Work, with the topic: Good education? - Education between everyday life and research
Afterwards, the discussions can be continued over snacks from Feinkostkomplizen and drinks from the National Jürgens Brewery.
