How can the water sector respond to the challenges posed by necessary infrastructure measures?
What requirements arise in terms of planning, implementation and operation?
And what solutions are needed for a sustainable water infrastructure?
These questions will be the focus of the first North German Water Dialogue on 24 September 2026 at the Suderburg Campus. Under the theme ‘Infrastructure Measures – A Challenge for the Water Sector’, experienced experts will come together as speakers and panellists.
The event is being organised jointly by colleagues from the networks of the Association of North German Drinking Water Works (INTWA) e. V., the North German Water Centre (NWZ) e. V. and Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences.
The North German Water Dialogue sees itself as a further development of the Lower Saxony Groundwater Colloquium, which has shaped professional dialogue on groundwater for over 30 years. The new format is intended to broaden the scope in future: the main focus may vary from event to event, but the common thread remains the topic of water.
In addition to specialist presentations and discussions, an accompanying trade exhibition offers opportunities for exchange and networking. Interested members of INTWA or the NWZ are invited to participate with their own exhibition stands.
Focus on exchange and networking
The North German Water Dialogue is aimed at experts from the water sector, academia and related fields. The aim is to discuss current developments, exchange practical experiences and jointly develop perspectives for the future of the water sector.
Participation is free of charge for members of the NWZ and associated networks (including GWW and FH-DGGV), members of INTWA, and members of Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences. For other participants, the conference fee is 100 euros. Students, PhD candidates and retired persons pay a reduced fee of 30 euros.
