Module handbooks Examination and admission regulations

Which courses (modules) do I have to take? What topics do the lectures cover? Do I have to write an exam or to make a presentation? What happens if I fail an exam? Am I even allowed to study the subject? These questions are answered in the admission regulations, the examination regulations and the module handbook.

Where can I find what?

The examination regulations (PO) set out the basic rules of the degree programme. Among other things, they contain the curriculum, the types of examinations and the opportunities to retake examinations. Subject-specific questions about the examinations are answered by the lecturers, organisational questions by the chair of the examination board. The examination regulations always apply to statements with relevance to examination law (depending on the date of enrolment and the degree programme).

Learning objectives and course content are described in the module handbook (MHB).

You can find additional explanations of the organisational processes and graphics for the degree programmes in our guide.

Have you been studying with us for a while? Then you will find the examination regulations and the module handbook on the intranet (external link, opens in a new window).
