For schools and other larger groups, we offer a wide range of activities. We have summarised some of them for you here.

Are you looking for variety or help with your school club? Would you like to set up a school company or improve or analyse the profitability of an existing one? Would you like to plan special projects in your club and are looking for professional support?

Our professors will come to your school and give presentations or talks, bringing with them the perspective and knowledge of the university.

Laboratory events for pupils

Simply change premises and experience the university at the same time?

School classes are welcome to move their lessons to the university. Teachers from the university take over the lesson/s and organise them with appropriate projects.

The following faculties will make their laboratories and teaching staff available to you:

"Ostfalia Day"

We are happy to support schools in the vicinity of the four Ostfalia locations in providing orientation for their pupils. 

What could be included in your individually planned day?

  • inter-university presentations on the topics of studying, types of study, differences between university and university of applied sciences, application/admission
  • general and specialised presentations on studying at Ostfalia
  • Discussion panel with students
  • Experiments and hands-on activities

General and specialised lectures

Whether it's a specific teaching topic, general areas of interest or study information: our speakers will visit you with a themed lecture. You can choose from the following topics:

Study orientation:

  • Study opportunities at Ostfalia
  • What is the difference between studying at university and university of applied sciences?
  • Tips for making study decisions
  • dual or normal? What does it mean to study in a dual degree programme?


Presentations on subject areas and degree programmes:

  • Studying STEM in the region
  • Study something with media!
  • Lectures on all Bachelor's degree programmes

Visiting the university

If the dates of our university open days "University under the magnifying glass" do not suit you for a university visit, you are also welcome to book an individual date for larger groups (school classes, year groups, etc.).

Take your school class or group of at least eight people on a tour of one of our study locations and visit up to three local faculties of your choice.

Find out more about study options and take the opportunity to ask the student counsellors any questions you may have.

A possible programme could be as follows:

  • Presentation of chosen degree programmes
  • Attend regular lectures
  • Attending lectures
  • Guided tours of laboratories
  • Further information and discussion with the student counsellor on topics such as application, selection procedure, enrolment, formalities, etc.
