Scholarships

Would you like to find out more about the Deutschlandstipendium? Then you've come to the right place.

On this page you will find helpful information on the following topics:

General information

The Deutschlandstipendium supports students and first-year students who are expected to achieve outstanding results in their studies.

If you are one of the scholarship holders, you will receive 300 euros per month - one half from the federal government, the other half from sponsors.

The maximum funding period is two semesters. Anyone who already receives material support based on talent and performance, which amounts to an average of 30 euros or more per month, cannot receive a Deutschlandstipendium.

The Deutschlandstipendium does not count towards BAföG and is independent of income. You can take advantage of both funding options without any deductions.

If you have already been supported by the Deutschlandstipendium in the past, you are welcome to apply again.

You can find more information about the Deutschlandstipendium (external link, opens in a new window) here.

Prerequisites

Do you have good grades and are you involved in voluntary work? Have you already received an award for particularly good performance, have you completed an apprenticeship in the subject area of your current studies or have you had to overcome particular hurdles in your life, such as illness or flight?

If you were able to answer one or two of these questions with a resounding "yes", then take the opportunity to apply for the Deutschlandstipendium. This scholarship not only recognises students for their good performance and exemplary commitment, but also takes social, family or personal circumstances into account.

You can read the exact conditions and information about the selection process in the guidelines for awarding the Deutschlandstipendium at Ostfalia (PDF, 45.53 KB) (opens in a new window), (not accessible).
