University Horizons 2026 – First Steps into the Working World

Where should I apply? Which position is right for me? How do I prepare my application? And how do the interview and induction process work?
The “Hochschulhorizonte” series helps students answer these questions, promotes exchange, and ensures a smooth transition into professional life. Three online events cover all the steps from studying to starting a career. Those interested in delving deeper into political fields of work can apply for the final event at HVHS Hustedt. The event is aimed at university graduates, students nearing graduation, and doctoral candidates who want to move into practice.

Module 2: Applications and interviews
Speaker: Angela Zeilinger, Leibniz University Hannover
You will learn how to design your application documents and cover letter, how to prepare properly for the interview, and what the most important dos and don'ts are for you and your employers.
