University Horizons 2026 – First Steps into the Working World
Date / duration: 25.02.2026
Time: 16:00 - 18:00
Where should I apply? Which position is right for me? How do I prepare my application? And how do the interview and induction process work?
The “Hochschulhorizonte” series helps students answer these questions, promotes exchange, and ensures a smooth transition into professional life. Three online events cover all the steps from studying to starting a career. Those interested in delving deeper into political fields of work can apply for the final event at HVHS Hustedt.
Participation in the event series is free of charge. You can simply register online for the online modules. You can apply for places at the closing event at HVHS Hustedt using the online form (external link, opens in a new window).
Module 3: Good Negotiation
Speaker: Rene Burghardt, IG Metall
“What are your salary expectations?” is a question that makes most people sweat. What is my work worth? How can I negotiate well about money and working hours, and what role does the applicable collective agreement play in this?
