This year, the “Christmas for Everyone” charity is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Together with students from Ostfalia, the charity is fulfilling the Christmas wishes of people living in poverty and homelessness as part of the “Wish Fulfiller” exhibition. The exhibition can be seen at the Schloss-Arkaden in Braunschweig. The exhibition opening on 27 November 2026 at 6 pm will feature musical accompaniment by the Ostfalia Choir, conducted by Uwe Dörschner.

The photographs depicting the Christmas wishes of people living in poverty and homelessness will then be on display at the Schloss-Arkaden until 12 December. Visitors will have the opportunity to fulfil these wishes directly on site – in the form of donations of goods or money. The organisers invite people to pause for a moment during the hectic Christmas period and reflect on the circumstances of those who are often overlooked in everyday life. As part of a large Christmas celebration at the Westand, the fulfilled wishes will be presented to the recipients on 17 December.

The project is based on the work of social work students at Ostfalia. In the run-up to the event, they made contact with people affected by homelessness or poverty, asked them about their personal Christmas wishes and sensitively captured these on camera.
