News ,

With a successful kick-off, the Gründen@Ostfalia (GO) team demonstrated the lively interaction between start-up culture, research and entrepreneurship.

At the launch of the Gründen@Ostfalia (GO) initiative on 9 December 2025, the university's entire start-up ecosystem was presented on display walls and information tables on the Wolfenbüttel campus. Interested parties were shown support paths for ideas, research relevant to start-ups and central offers for qualification, advice, networks and funding opportunities. Many guests took advantage of the open atmosphere in the glass corridor, gathering information or directly presenting their own ideas - some from final theses, others from ongoing research projects. It became clear that science and the entrepreneurial spirit have long been intertwined and enrich teaching, research and transfer in equal measure.

Gründen@Ostfalia is the university's central contact point

Open to students, researchers and employees, GO is the university's central point of contact for all start-up issues. Team GO supports projects from the initial idea to market maturity and offers individual advice, workshops, teaching modules, networking formats and support with financing, property rights and team building. Students benefit from coaching, scholarship advice, coworking spaces and prototyping opportunities, among other things; employees and lecturers receive teaching materials, further training and access to partners; researchers are supported with patent issues, funding applications, market analyses and matching with complementary skills.

Additional activities will follow at all four campus locations

The kick-off in Wolfenbüttel has shown for the time being: Start-up support is effective when it is low-threshold, networked and practical - and the offer is growing. Posters, materials and impressions will be added on an ongoing basis at ostfalia.de/gruenden. There will also be additional activities, open formats and information stands at all four of the university's campuses in the coming months. The first date has already been set: the next Ostfalia Start-up Lunch will take place on 26 March 2026 at the WOW! - WissensOrt Wolfenbüttel will take place.
