Festive finale: Faculty of Law bids farewell to graduates

The Faculty of Law at Ostfalia University celebrated the successful graduations of the past academic year with more than 250 guests.

More than 70 graduates were on site at the Wolfenbüttel campus to receive their jewellery certificates in person. They graduated from the Faculty of Law between 1 March 2025 and 28 February 2026.

Highlights of the ceremony were the honours for outstanding academic and teaching achievements: A silver "Aequitas" medal of merit was awarded to long-time lecturer Dr Jens Zitzewitz in recognition of special services to teaching and research.

Tanja Ruthemann and Leander Becker were each honoured with a PKF Fasselt Award for outstanding achievements in their studies. The award was presented by lawyer Sören Damerau.

Marc Michaelis received the Eckert & Kollegen Award, which was presented to him by lawyer Adrian Linden. The Faculty Award 2026, donated by the City of Wolfenbüttel, for outstanding achievements in the Master's programme went to Anna Riedel and was presented by Mayor Ivica Lukanic.
