The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Ostfalia University in Wolfenbüttel bid farewell to its graduates at an academic graduation ceremony followed by a summer party on Friday, 22 May 2026. All those who successfully completed their studies between May 2025 and April 2026 were invited.
Dean Prof Dr Peter Stuwe and Dean of Studies Prof Dr Thorsten Uelzen warmly welcomed the former students and their families and friends. They recognised the impressive achievements of the graduates and emphasised their promising prospects as future engineers in a changing world of work.
Best graduates honoured
A highlight of the ceremony was the honouring of particularly outstanding academic achievements. Henrik Bremermann was honoured with the Faculty's Graduate Award 2026 as the best Bachelor's graduate of the year. The prize is endowed with 400 euros and is provided by Robert Bosch GmbH. Julian Lindenberg and Philipp Bräuer were awarded the second and third best Bachelor's degrees and received book money of 200 euros and 100 euros respectively. Tobias Baumgarten received the prestigious Erwin Marx Prize of the German Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE) for the best Master's degree in the "Intelligent Systems" programme, which is endowed with 750 euros.
Joint summer party with the Faculty of Law
At the subsequent summer party, the graduates continued to celebrate together with current students and other guests from the faculty. This year's special feature: under the motto "It's better to celebrate together", the Faculty of Law also took part and organised the party together with the faculty and the Electrical Engineering and Information Technology Student Council as well as numerous committed students. The party was accompanied by DJ music, barbecue specialities and cool drinks. The professors of the faculty also took the opportunity to join their students at the barbecue, serve drinks or play the mixer themselves.
