The 16th media design exhibition at the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences on the Salzgitter campus this year had the motto "Untitled". Students from the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Media Design presented around 80 innovative works from the past two semesters. The diverse spectrum of exhibits ranged from animation, film, games, interactive design and communication design to editorials and freelance projects.

One of the highlights of the exhibition was the presentation of the renowned Ostfalia Media Awards Salzgitter. The prizes, endowed with a total of 3000 euros by the City of Salzgitter and Öffentliche Versicherung Braunschweig, were awarded by the jury in four categories.

The prizes for outstanding projects in the Bachelor's degree programme went to

  • Animation: Christina Hausperger for her Bachelor's thesis "Sounds of Home" - Animation & Real Film
  • Moving Image Design: Felix Warsawa with his documentary film "Ukraine Still Alive"
  • Interactive: Julien-Cedrick Mette with the interactive animation "In a Moment"
  • Communication design: Jennifer O'Brien with a cross-media awareness campaign on the topic of cybergrooming "Do you know?"

The B12 Group supported the media prizes for the Master's programme with a total of 2,000 euros.

The following were honoured in the Master's programme:

  • Maria Künne with her Master's thesis "Left out" from the field of game design
  • Laura Knop with her Master's thesis "What nobody talks about ... miscarriages" in Communication Design

These awards were supplemented by the audience awards, each of which was sponsored by Art of Coins GmbH with 300 euros. They went to particularly committed projects and emphasised the strong community in the degree programme. The prizes went to Connor Lindhorst and Laura Lissner.
