Exciting insights into studies, research and campus life will be available on 7 May 2026 at the Wolfsburg campus of Ostfalia University. From 3.30 pm to 7 pm, the Faculties of Automotive Engineering, Healthcare and Business will be opening their doors to prospective students, parents, teaching staff and anyone who wants to find out more about Ostfalia under the motto Open Campus. In addition to information about the degree programmes on offer, there will be library and laboratory tours, lectures, campus tours and more.

The Faculty of Automotive Engineering is opening several laboratories and test facilities. In the wind tunnel, for example, air currents are visualised and their effect on models is clearly demonstrated. An industrial robot shows how precisely modern automation technology works, and in the climate chamber, guests can experience the stresses that extreme temperatures place on materials and technology.

The Faculty of Healthcare provides an insight into its diverse range of study programmes, from nursing and healthcare to childhood education. Visitors can playfully try out how innovative teaching methods are used in degree programmes as part of "Lego Serious Play", for example. Tours of the simulation and skills labs show how practical training is provided in areas such as nursing and emergency services.

The Faculty of Business will show examples of teaching and research. In the lecture "I have nothing to hide! - The sense and nonsense of cybersecurity" will discuss why information security affects not only companies but also private individuals. The presentation "Misbehaving: What behavioural economics tells us about our decisions" shows why people often act differently in economic terms than traditional models predict. And the presentation "Digital employer branding: attracting employees via Instagram, TikTok and co." will focus on targeted recruitment of skilled labour.
