Welcome to the WF Wolves, Ostfalia's RoboCup team!

RoboCup is an international organization promoting research in robotics and artificial intelligence. As part of a competition, student teams build and program robots that compete against each other in various disciplines. Our team competes in the "Humanoid Soccer League," a league in which humanoid robots play soccer autonomously. The goal of the league is to beat the reigning soccer world champions in 2050.

The major events in 2025 were:

  • RoboCup German Open from 12-16 March 2025 in Nuremberg (Result: German Vice Champion))
  • RoboCup World Championship from 15-21 July 2025 in Salvador (Brazil) ((Result: 5-8 in the group stage, 2nd place in the Technical Challenges)

Are you interested in robots?

WF Wolves are a student working group (AG) that all Ostfalia students warmly invites to join. Are you interested in working with real robots or would you like to gain practical experience? Then you've come to the right place!

Our interdisciplinary team is looking for dedicated students from all semesters and faculties. Curiosity and motivation are more important to us than your field of study.

Our work covers a broad spectrum:

  • Robotics & Software Development - from game behavior to controlling our robots
  • Artificial Intelligence - image processing, object recognition and reinforcement learning
  • Hardware & PCB Design - for anyone who enjoys tinkering, soldering and developing
  • Organization & Travel Planning - because international competitions require strong logistics
  • Social Media & Public Relations - to make successes visible

Whether you're a technology enthusiast, a talented organizer, or a creative mind - everyone can contribute his or her strengths to us. And the best part: You'll be part of a team that builds robots together, competes in competitions and gains a wealth of experience for your studies and life.
