Application for a Bachelor's degree programme
Legal basis: Section 18 (1) sentence 1 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG)
Anyone who has a corresponding German higher education entrance qualification is entitled to study on an undergraduate degree programme.

- general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur)
- subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (Abitur in a corresponding specialisation = Fachabitur)
- Entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences
- previous school education recognised as equivalent by the ministry responsible for the schools in general or for certain courses of study (enquire if necessary)
Proof of previous vocational training:
- Qualification as a master craftsman
- Qualification as a technician
- Qualification as a business administrator
Completion of at least three years of vocational training relevant to the degree programme and three years of professional experience in the learned profession
Immaturity examination (entrance examination)

Note on the German language skills to be submitted: according to § 2 (2) of the currently valid admission regulations for the Master's degree programme, proof of German language skills at A2 level must be submitted at the time of application. Proof of German language skills at B1 level must be submitted by the start of the 4th Master's semester at the latest.

Admission requirements for continuing education master's programmes
Continuing education master's degree programmes for experienced professionals
Master's degree programmes in academic continuing education serve to comprehensively deepen and supplement previously acquired professional experience or to reorient oneself professionally. In contrast to undergraduate/consecutive degree programmes, the university charges fees and charges (tuition fees) to cover the costs of participation in continuing education programmes.
Application and admission
Depending on the planned start date, you can apply for the winter semester by 15 July and for the summer semester by 15 January of each year via the online application portal.
Admission requirements for a continuing education Master's degree programme are generally a completed Bachelor's degree and one year of subject-related professional experience.
Additional, separate language certificates may be required. Further details can be found in the relevant admission regulations.

Semester contribution and fees for continuing education programmes
You must pay a semester fee for enrolment and re-registration within the re-registration deadlines. The semester fee usually changes every semester. You can find the relevant information on our website under the heading Re-enrolment.
In addition to the semester fee, additional tuition fees must be paid for a continuing education Master's degree programme. The relevant fee notifications are sent by post by the enrolment office at the beginning of each semester. The amount of the tuition fee is determined in accordance with the regulations in the current Ostfalia fees and charges regulations.
Important note: De-registration as part of a continuing education programme
Section 1 (1) of the Fees and Charges Regulations of Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences - Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel University of Applied Sciences stipulates the following:
Students who withdraw from their studies after the start of a current semester will not be refunded the tuition fee.
A refund of the semester fees paid is based on the provisions of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act.
Admission requirements Automotive Service Technology and Processes (M.Eng.)
Application
You can currently apply in writing for the Automotive Service Technology and Processes (M.Eng.) degree programme until 15 April (current grace period until 31.08.2025 for applications for the winter semester 2025/26) of each year.
