Would you like to spend Zukunftstag (Girls' Day / Boys' Day) at Ostfalia? Our faculties (departments) will be happy to open their doors to you!

The next Zukunftstag will take place on 23 April 2026.

What is special about Zukunftstag?

On this day of action, pupils in Lower Saxony can gain insights into professions in which women and men are less frequently represented in training and studies. Girls and boys explore professions in companies, universities and institutions that they themselves often do not consider.

This gives girls the opportunity to familiarise themselves with careers in technology and science. Boys can get a taste of areas such as social work or health.

This is why separate events are organised for boys and girls. This is a requirement of the Ministry of Education (external link, opens in a new window), which we fulfill. The Lower Saxony Future Day has the same objectives as the nationwide Girls' Day/Boys' Day. It takes place on the same day.
