Academic activities and honours

Research corner professorship

Research corner professorship at the Ostfalia

Harald K. Bachem has held the Research Corner Professorship for Vehicle Safety since 2021, making him one of the first ten researchers at Ostfalia to receive this award.

The model of research corner professorships, which is associated with a longer-term plannable teaching relief for research activities and the profiling of research topics, was introduced at Ostfalia University to promote professors with strong research skills. The holders of a research corner professorship must fulfil extensive requirements, have acquired third-party funding and published important publications; in return, they will benefit from an interesting amount of teaching leave in the future and they will be highlighted in the faculties. In particular, the professorships are intended to make Ostfalia's research achievements even more visible and to communicate them to the outside world.

Further information on the research corner professorships at Ostfalia can be found here (external link, opens in a new window).
