Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences will be opening its doors at the campus in Salzdahlumer Straße 46/48 in Wolfenbüttel on Thursday, 30 April, with a varied programme of experiments and hands-on activities. Experience the campus feeling, get to know the university better, discover research or simply enjoy the sunshine with drinks, snacks and live music - that's what Campus Day is all about.
From 3 p.m., many Ostfalia faculties and central university facilities will be presenting exciting research topics and bringing science to life for all age groups. For example, guests can take an autonomous shuttle across the campus, make their own yo-yo in the 3D printer or experience the principle of coastal protection up close with the wave flume. The central university facilities have also put together a colourful programme and cordially invite you to stroll around the campus and get to know Ostfalia better, for example at a campus rally.
The food court on Campus Day offers a diverse selection of drinks and snacks - savoury, sweet, international, vegetarian and vegan. Live music will also accompany the afternoon on campus. Local musicians Robin Kap and Helge have been invited to perform. The Ostfalia University Choir will celebrate its premiere with a first performance in the auditorium and the evening will begin with music bingo, hosted by Ostfalia professor Felix Büsching.
From 7 p.m., the university courtyard will be transformed into a dance floor: at "Ostfalia@Turntables", Ostfalia professors and staff will be spinning their own music and creating a party atmosphere. A highlight will be the set by DJ Fliesentisch - Ostfalia electrical engineering student - who has already played at the Organic Beats Festival, the Laut Klub and the Fusion Festival. The party ends at 22:30. And if you want to continue dancing into May afterwards, you can get free entry to the Eule/XO Club in Braunschweig with your Campus Day wristband.
All prospective students and families from the Ostfalia region, students and employees as well as anyone who has always wanted to get a taste of Ostfalia are invited.
