On Wednesday, 24 September 2025 between 6 and 8 p.m., the 21st Sustainability Forum of the Faculty of Law/Brunswick European Law School (BELS) of Ostfalia University and the district of Wolfenbüttel will discuss the topic "Sustainability on the brink, Trump's doctrine strikes back?".
At the beginning, Prof Dr Udo Becker (Faculty of Law) will present the early countermovement, in particular via competition law. Afterwards, Filip Feil (student, Master "Finance, Tax and Company Law") will give an overview of the development of sustainability reporting to date.
Finally, Prof. Dr habil. Lisa Fröhlich (PRME DACH Chapter Chair) on the "Rollback of sustainability obligations: a risk for companies - a violation of international law."
The forum aims to discuss different perspectives and seeks answers to the question of how scientific realities and a life perceived as worth living can be reconciled in the spirit of a good compromise.
The Sustainability Forum will take place in room RO01 in building R (Salzdahlumer Straße 46-48, 38302 Wolfenbüttel) or online via the BigBlueButton (BBB) video conferencing system.
