The Master’s programme in Business Administration is aimed at anyone wishing to deepen their knowledge of business administration and prepare specifically for demanding specialist and managerial roles. Students can choose between three practice-oriented specialisations: Accounting & Controlling, Energy Management, Marketing; or they can opt for a broad-based degree in General Business Administration without a specialisation. They can already set their own specialist focus during the research project prior to their Master’s thesis.
Good work-life balance
The programme is delivered entirely online and is therefore particularly well suited to balancing work and family life. Course materials are available at any time via the Moodle learning platform. Weekly live web conferences in the evenings offer the opportunity for direct interaction with experienced lecturers and are also recorded, so that the content can be reviewed at a time that suits the student.
Practical assessment tasks such as written assignments, presentations and talks form the core of the programme. Only a few written examinations are held in person at the Suderburg campus. An optional on-campus weekend per semester also provides opportunities for face-to-face interaction with lecturers and fellow students, as well as the chance to work together on practical issues.
The Master of Arts (M.A.) qualification opens up a wide range of career prospects – for example, in energy management, marketing, risk management, controlling, management consultancy, banking and insurance, retail, or the public sector.
