Industrial Engineering Energy/Environment - Dual Programme
Become an engineer at the interface between technology and business! Our focus areas: energy, environmental and building technology, or bioeconomy.
The combined degree programme is based on our Industrial Engineering Energy/Environment (external link, opens in a new window)degree programme and combines vocational training or practical phases with studies. This provides insights into the professional environment and earning opportunities.
Would you like a career at the centre of the energy transition? Then we have the right degree programme for you! The degree programme is divided into on-campus and online parts. 40% of the programme - specifically parts of the business administration and interdisciplinary content - are offered as online courses.

- Focus on energy technology: This involves, for example, the creation of economically and ecologically justified energy concepts, such as the ability to assess and optimise the use of state subsidy systems for the rational use of energy and the use of renewable energy sources.
- Focus on environmental technology: This involves, for example, the restructuring of operational processes within production and waste disposal under the requirements of the circular economy and with regard to the design of logistics processes or the certification and auditing of companies in accordance with European environmental and quality standards.
- Focus on building technology: This involves the technical infrastructure of modern buildings and their sustainable use, such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitary facilities, the supply of electrical energy and the integrated control and regulation of building functions.
- Focus on bioeconomy: This involves the use of bio-based (and therefore regenerative) raw materials as a substitute for raw materials from fossil sources, both for mass applications (e.g. wood or bio-based plastics) and for special applications (e.g. enzymes, fine chemicals).
